Paddle steamers take you to Årø, which is a pearl on the small belt. You will find farm shops on the island selling Danish products. A visit to the Brummers Gaard Farm is a unique experience. You can enjoy dinner in the farm. The area also offers variety of dishes made from Galloway beef, which are farmed on the island. The winery Årø is also worth a visit if you want to taste the locally produced wine. Ferries from Årøsund to Årø sail every hour.
