The northern tip of Fyn defines the border between the Kattegat and Storebaelt Sounds, and also marks the head of the Hindsholm Peninsula with its distinctive torpedo hills formed during the last ice age. Northern Fyn is famed for its grand panorama views, rich bird life, rare plants and good, well-defined walking trails, and is also home to numerous galleries, museums and stately homes as well as some of the island s best fishing spots. Home to a small cluster of fishing boats, the natural harbour at Korshavn is also the starting point for the annual Tour of Fyn yacht race. The town of Kerteminde - also known as the Town of Red Roofs is also a popular destination, and offers many sights and attractions for the whole family.
