Explore the idyllic villages, palaces and manor houses as well as the traces of Vikings along small pathways through beautiful landscape. The unique dune region and the largest moors of Funen are located towards the north. The Peninsula of Hindsholm with several small islands and headlands, namely, Romso and Enebaerodde are located towards north east. This landscape was formed in the Ice Age and various natural areas in the region have exciting flora and fauna. The shallow waters in the Bay of Little Belt are a popular breeding places for several birds and ducks. The beautiful natural area of Fyns Hoved with kilometres-long view of water and land is located towards the northern tip of Hindsholm. Visit the village of Den Fynske and experience the rural area that dates back to the period of the poet, H.C. Andersen. Visit the old part of the city of Odense, where you can see the birthplace of Andersen.
