Vesterlyng is a beautiful, child-friendly sandy beach and a large protected heathland with Erica (flowering plant), juniper bushes and shifting dunes. The area is perfect for leisurely strolls and hiking. Do visit Kalundborg, with good shopping options and restaurants. Also explore the narrow streets of the medieval town with half-timbered and red painted stone houses that are well preserved. You can also visit Røsnæs, which is beautiful, rough and has wild nature. The Røsnæs Peninsula located in Kalundborg, is the westernmost point of Zealand and receives about 100 hours more sunshine than the national average. Reersø Peninsula is best explored by strolling around the island (about 9 km). To the east (Zealand) there are three beautiful wet areas, Flasken, Skiften and Vejlen with paddling ducks and interesting flora. To the west there are high dunes. The place is also very good for anglers. The island is also known for its many tailless cats. Birkegårdens Haver - a 10,000 square metre garden that has animals and amusement parks and the Kragerup Gods Manor is worth visiting. Enjoy many more activities in this place like the treetops, or play football or take a canoe ride.
