If you holiday close to Rørvig, you should definitely visit Skansehage, a beautiful and child-friendly beach area. Enjoy the charming atmosphere in the harbour of Rørvig, where you can buy fresh fish and freshly smoked fish. Even cafes and an ice cream kiosk are available here. Go shopping in Nykøbing, just a few kilometres away. This is a place for anglers too. Odsherred has an active artistic life ' there are more than 50 galleries here. The medieval Dragsholm Castle is supposedly haunted and houses a gourmet restaurant. Do not miss a visit to the Sommerland Sjælland Amusement Park. Your children will be delighted by a visit to the Odsherred fire-brigade museum with various fire fighters' vehicles. The harbour in Rørvig is a starting point for seal safaris. Experience nature on the sign-posted hiking trails: sand and sea (16 km), water birds (8 km) and culture on the coast (7 km). The glacial landscape and the various monuments from the past make the peninsula a UNESCO-Geopark. You can also visit Ulkerup - an abandoned forest village, the Hempel Glass Museum, the Odsherred Museum (copy of the sun chariot from the moors of Trundholm Moses) and the boulder Lommesten. The Näsholm Castle on the Nygård Lake is also worth visiting.
