The Gråsten Castle in the south is the summer palace of the royal family. The city of Sønderborg is located on the island, in the southwest corner of Jutland and the Flensburg Fjord. The city has much to offer: a lovely waterfront with cafes and restaurants, the Sønderborg Castle and the Dybbøl History Centre on the outskirts. The city is close to the Universe Amusement Park on Als where one can experience the forces of nature.
