Few metres from the waters of the Borre Sø, a paradise for fishing, this wonderful holiday home awaits. Two motorboats are for rent (please mention when booking), but you must adhere to the regulations of boats in the area.From the slightly hilly, forested grounds, many stairs take you to the front door. The stairs are not suited for handicapped guests. A large freezer stands ready for your catch, as the area offers notably good fishing grounds.The grounds stretch all the way to the lake, so you can cool your feet in the water at the shore. Borre Sø is one of the lakes of Silkeborg, lakes from the Birksø at Ry connected to the Knudsø through the Ry channel and through Rosvig with Julsø at Himmelbjerg, further on through Svjebæk Snævring to Borre Sø and its four small islands, through Sejs Snævring to Brassø and through Remstrup Å through Silkeborg. This entire network can be crossed by boat.This holiday home is surrounded by forest covered grounds with a small garden in front of the house, right by the lake. If you choose not to rent the boats, they can be rented out to other parties, which may use the path to the boats occasionally. The house is comfortably furnished and offers room for four people. After the entrance area, the first bedroom awaits with two beds. The spacious living room opens up to the well-equipped, modern kitchen and features a delightful wood burning stove for cold nights. All rooms have heated floors, and all windows face south. The generous covered terrace is about 5 m from the water. There you can enjoy your view to nature and have a comfortable conversation with a good cup of coffee. There is an additional building on the grounds with to nice, wide sleeping places in a bunk bed. The building is heated electrically, without floor heating. The house is not suited for families with small children due to the direct access to the lake.A better locations than the first row to the Borre Sø is hard to imagine. Once in a while the oldest steamer of Denmark, Hjejlen, will cross the lake. You can follow the beautiful ship from the terrace. Silkeborg, home port of Hjejlen, is not far from here. The local nature is beautifully varied, and you can explore it on foot or by bike along many paths. Special highlights for children are visits of the AQUA Akvarium and the zoo.
