In the undulating landscape of the Alentejo, hidden between the old cork oaks and the many fruit and olive trees lies Casal de Tiago. This estate measures 6.5 hectares and contains 5 holiday homes. Each house has its own private terrace with a small garden. The houses are situated in a way the privacy is optimal. In addition, the estate has a shared swimming pool with a nice lounge seating, a communal outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. There is also a covered relaxation area with a pool billiard, game computer and fitness equipment. Casal de Tiago is just outside the typical Portuguese town of Lavre. At about 40 km lies the province capital, Évora. A beautiful historical and a real "museum city". About ten years ago, Évora was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, with numerous prehistoric monuments older than Stonehenge. The Alentejo is famous for its peace and space. In the immediate vicinity there are many opportunities for cycling, hiking, or horseback riding. The region is also ideal for bird watchers. From October to the end of July one can, among other things, view the breeding grounds of a colony of storks.
