Its architecture is traditional with an unusual style in the eastern of Sao Miguel Island, the Azores. The building restoration and adaptation works began in 2009 with care to maintain its original architecture, preparing it for present day modern comfort.
The interior of this traditional cottage rental is noted by its height of the roof, the irregular basalt stone walls and the traditional wood oven. The past and present are to be found in the interior of this cosy stone house where the old restored furniture co-exists harmoniously with modern conveniences. The warm colours of the walls and decoration give it a very welcoming atmosphere. It is prepared to receive people with reduced mobility and consists of one bedroom, a spacious living room, equipped with a wood heater, a modern kitchen and a bathroom. This luxurious eco-friendly holiday cottage also has cable Tv, Dvd player, Hi-fi system, Wi-fi internet (no additional cost), a small library and social games (chess, draughts and cards).
This house rental confronts the blue ocean on one side and on the other the green mountain Pico da Vara, the highest point in Sao Miguel Island. The guests have at their disposal 2 bicycles, a croquet court, a large fenced garden, private parking with electric gate and a veranda with barbecue.
At their arrival to this vacation home rental, the guests will find bread and homemade jams, milk, coffee, tea, fruit, water, butter and cheese. There are also some basic grocery items.
