The area
Poble Nou is a relatively new area that every year, since the Olimpics in 1992, is changing style and atmosphere. The area is around 4 km from Plaza Cataluña, but have good communication with subway or bus. What before was closed fabrics and industrial area is now fancy new buildings where tecnology companies find there offices. But there is also a pittorect and nice "village centre" with shops, restaurant, bars, residential houses and normal street life. This area is also very very close to one of the best beaches in Barcelona centre.
