Sasan Gir though a small town near Junagadh, Saurashtra, Gujarat, is a jungle in itself. it is the only place in the world to find Asiatic Lions in the wild, sightseeing attractions of Sasan-Gir include a vast range starting from Sasan-Gir National Park,
This national park has been confirmed as the safest place for breeding the endangered species of Gir lions. It is home to 400 species of flora and 2375 species of fauna. Another important attraction in the place is Kamleshwar Dam, which is situated in the centre of Sasan-Gir National Park. This dam is built over Hiran River, which is one of the seven rivers that drain in the area of Gir Sanctuary. Nalsarovar Lake is one of the three reservoirs that flank the area of Sasan-Gir. It is home to several water birds and migratory birds due to which it is also known as the birdwatchers paradise. The Junagadh Zoo is situated in the Junagadh district and is mainly known for its Gir lions. The Uperkot Fort was built by Chandragupta Maurya in 319 BC and has been extended by several emperors, since then. The Durbar Hall Museum is situated near the Diwan Chowk in the old Palace and preserves some of the rarest items of the erstwhile Nawabs. The Mahabat Maqbara is a grand mausoleum of Nawab, built in 1892 in an Indo-Islamic architectural style. Tulsi Shyam Springs, Sasan gir, Ram mandir, Durga mandir. The Somnath Temple is situated at 46 km from Sasan-Gir. It is one of the most popular and ancient Hindu religious temple of India.
