Several naturally beautiful beaches, renowned for their surf breaks, are nearby: Pererenan Beach is just a 300m stroll or quick drive through the village, while long-time surfer's haunt, Echo Beach, is one kilometre away. Although the immediate area remains quiet and undeveloped, during the past few years, several excellent cafes and beach bars have sprung up along nearby Jalan Batu Bolong – much closer than busy Seminyak, and well worth investigating.
