This bright apartment faces the beautiful blue sea of Costa Rossa, with access to the adjacent beach via a short footpath (less than 10 min's). The clear turquoise water invites you to splash until your heart’s content and snorkel to discover a magnificent underwater display of colourful fish and interesting shells. One area of the beach offers sun loungers and parasols for hire. Calarossa is well known for its crystal clear sea and incredible natural beauty including open, rugged landscapes, hilly pine forests and unique natural structures of red rock. Directly from this property are panoramic sea views and stunning sunsets from the apartment windows and from the large, furnished terrace which faces west over the coast.
The self-catering apartment is tastefully furnished and includes a small fitted kitchen area with hob, combo-microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The living room is light and airy with two well proportioned single sofa beds/seating, Tv, coffee table etc and is designed in an open plan design. There are table and chairs provided inside but your large terrace is also complete with dining furniture so that you can watch spectacular sunsets and enjoy superb rocky coastal views while you eat. Additionally the apartment offers a double bedroom with king size bed, and a shower room with all the usual facilities including a bidet.
Your destination is truly for those who enjoy the great outdoors, with its location set in a rural idyll surrounded by wild, unspoiled landscapes rolling over the headlands and towards the rugged interior of the island. If you enjoy hiking, exploring and discovering unprecedented views and natural scenery, this is the place for you! Walk along the coastal paths to find bars, restaurants and other delights including the renowned La Marinedda beach (in addition to our own beach) and then on to the pretty fishing town on Isola Rossa (red Island). Despite its isolated location, all amenities and many additional attractions can be found just a few minutes’ drive away, including an aqua park for a day of family fun, a variety of beaches and coves, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, boat excursions and diving schools. Additionally tennis courts can be hired right at the entrance to the apartment grounds. A natural hot spring and spa treatment centre is also located short distance inland.
When it’s time to eat, some of the finest traditional Sardinian restaurants are located in the region offering menus of seafood, pastas and pizzas, and you are very close to the renowned wine making town of Badesi, with its cantinas and other gastronomic delights. Many attractions and sites are dotted throughout the region, all accessible by car, so that days out to explore further is recommended.
Getting There
Most airlines offer numerous routes to Sardinia, especially into Olbia and Alghero airports, both of which are within easy reach of our property at approx 85 km away (50 miles). Cagliari Airport is 254 km away (150 miles), should that be more convenient for your point of departure.
Getting Around
We consider a car is essential to access local amenities and fully explore all that this beautiful part of Sardinia has to offer.
