The apartment has been eclectically designed by a group of up and coming interior designers with elegantly paired pieces to serve your needs and lots of photos for social media. It's fully equipped to cater for 4 people complete with climate control including air conditioning proving useful in the summer.

At about 600 square feet with mixture of engineered wood, tiles and carpet flooring throughout the house, it has 1 King-sized bed in the bedroom, 1 sofa bed in the lounge and 1 main bathroom with shower over the bath, perfect for a small family or professionals or a small group of holidaymakers. The 8 square metre balcony is a pleasure to sit around as it overlooks the development landscaped square and the English National Ballet.

The living room serves a smart TV equipped with all TV apps and Netflix as standard. No terrestrial TV is provided. Free fibre wifi of Hyperoptic serves the Islandic One guests.

Security
The apartment is secured by multiple communal doors that could be entered only using security fobs and double locking mortice lock door.

The development is also very secure on its own Island'esque' zone mainly accessible via a private 100m footbridge and a gated road from the south of the Leamouth peninsular in a vehicle free zone.
The footbridge sits across the river linking with Canning Town station(full lift access from the tube to the apartment for full accessibility).

There is parking available at £20/night or a discounted rate of £200/month. Inquire for discount.

Guests will be provided with relevant access necessary and relevant for their stay. LCI and the Islandic One are secured by security fobs so it is important to have one of these around with you at all times.

As a summary, below are accessible to guests:

> 3 months - the above plus leisure facilities and concierge services.

LCI is an award winning riverside development on the Leamouth Peninsula nicknamed the “Mini Manhattan” to represents the essence of its luxury living and modern feel. 12 acres of cosmopolitan development have been invested into London City Island, providing the likes of homes, offices, restaurants, boutique shops, pedestrian and cycle routes, cultural spaces and even waterside parks.

Another huge pull of the London City Island development is the excellent transport connections available, to help alleviate the strain of inner city commuting and travel. Residents will ultimately be given easy access to the major areas throughout the capital, including the likes of Canary Wharf, The West End, the City and beyond. Those living within London City Island will be merely a 2-minute walk away from the new connecting bridge to Canning Town station, which is on both the Jubilee Line and DLR.

The “Mini Manhattan” shall be a cultural cosmopolitan hub, with the English National Ballet moving into new headquarters at the development. Many of London’s well-known landmarks will be visible from the apartments as well, situated on the river gazing over the likes of Canary Wharf, the O2 Arena and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Greenwich Naval College is just 30 minutes away by public transport and a majestic sight to behold.


Architecture and design
LCI has been purpose-built to tell a story, with the colour holding a nod to the area’s maritime history. The glazed-brick building is coated in colours of orange, red, blue, white and black. The red strands have been used as a means of navigating the route between living spaces, public spaces, amenities, shops and restaurants.

Another design inspiration is in reference to the district’s endearing nickname. The world’s most famous island community, Manhattan, is well known for its tall and striking factory buildings. This architecture has been mirrored in the design itself, with apartments sitting behind a grid-pattern façade, which allow for wide windows and recessed terraces to provide partial weather shelter for residents.

Amenities on site
Various amenities are available including 24 hour security patrol to ensure the safety of residents, an Italian cafe/restaurant&bar/grocery shop, residents lounge with free wiFI to relax if need be,English National Ballet served by The Espresso Bar, the London Film School and an art gallery.

The Italian cafe/restaurant & bar/grocery - The Island Grocer is open for breakfast from 6am, lunch from 11 am and closes at 11pm on weekdays.

LCI also serves swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room, loungers and onsite personal trainers, HOWEVER, this is NOT accessible for short term guests staying less than 3 months but only those with >3 months tenancy/rental agreement.
The security fobs for the Islandic One will not work for the gym and spa area. This area is manned by security staff to prevent unregistered guests from using the facility including the use of facial recognition cameras.
It is IMPORTANT to observe this rule as breaching this rule will invalidate your licence agreement and no refund will be provided. The same goes to the concierge service.

If you would like to use these facilities, please consider staying for at least 3 months and we would be happy to arrange access and provide the documents for the necessary fees involved to use these facilities.
