The Space:
The Matias family property is located in Praia da Areia Branca on the country road leading to Paimogo, a secluded sandy beach. The property is surrounded by a hedge and offers plenty of space for children to play safely. There are three houses behind each other. At the back is the holiday home Casa Matias, which is therefore the quietest. The middle house is used by the Portuguese owners who live in Lisbon and often spend their weekends here. The parents of the owners live on the first floor of the holiday house Casa Matias, but one hardly notices any of them, as they are already very old. The apartment is rented on the ground floor with a large courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue area for private use behind the house. The apartment is furnished very simple and rural. The kitchen is very spacious with dishwasher and washing machine and also serves as a lounge with direct access to the outside area.
The beach of Praia da Areia Branca is 5 minutes walk away.
The Neighborhood:
Praia da Areia Branca is a typical Portuguese seaside resort.
Fortunately, there are only very few hotels or holiday resorts here, but in August, there is a lot of activity on the beach, as many Portuguese from the surrounding area come for a swim.
There is a lifeguard who looks after the right one and hundreds of typical beach tents that can be rented for a small fee. Some parts of the beach are guarded by professional lifeguards in summer. Those who want to escape from this hustle and bustle only have to walk one or two bays along the beach and already they have a bay to themselves again.
In Praia da Areia Branca there is a beautiful beach promenade with many small cafés and good restaurants. The place is especially suitable for families with young children, as there is a very nice and manageable nightlife and the contact to the locals is very easy.
The express bus between Peniche and Lisbon stops almost every hour close to the apartment.
The district town Lourinhã with big supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, health centre, Pharmacies, post office and bank are only 3 km away. A special highlight is the newly opened largest outdoor museum: Dinoparque Lourinhã nearby. Here you will also find the best surf spots in Europe.
Other Things to Note:
The prices are considered as total price for up to 4 persons and contain the costs for electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bedlinen and towels. Possible heating costs will be charged according to consumption. The prices are only valid for bookings of five days or longer. Arrival and departure is possible on any day of the week.
