This 4 bedrooms cottage is located 8 kms from Dinant and 12 kms from Givet, in the holiday resort of Waulsort. Waulsort is a very charmful old village. We are there, on the top of a high hill, in the middle of trees, in a green and natural setting, from the terrace you can admire a scenic view over the valley of the river Meuse. Not far from the cottage, maybe will you climb the very famous rock of Freyr. In front of it, along the river, the beautiful Renaissance castle (16th cent.) can be visited, the gardens with their orange trees from the 17th century is remarkable... by the way the king Louis Xiv drank his first cup of coffee in that castle... see we don’t only have beers in Belgium!

Namur, capital city of Wallonia, is 35 km away and full of visits to enjoy: museums, heritage, beers, restaurants are to be discovered!
Also a must to discover: the caves "pont D'arcole" in Hastière (1 Km), the caves of Han (one of the biggest in Europe), the gardens of Freyr or the ones of Annevoie, the Natural park of Furfooz (with interesting romain ruins), the railbike of the Molignée, the village of Falaën, the abbeys, etc ...
For gourmets: the visit of the Maredsous, the local breweries of the Bocq in Purnode and 'la Caracole' in Falmignoul or the ostrich farm in Dinant...
You can also visit the nearby Champagne-ardennes in France: Charleville-mezieres, Sedan. For a day trip you can later explore the Champagne country and the cities of Reims or Epernay.
