Philippe will welcome you upon your arrival in Cabrières-d'avignon not far from the villa and will accompany you to the villa La Bergerie.
Saumane de Vaucluse is a small village perched in a green setting overlooking the Sorgue valley. You can enjoy the breathtaking view over the entire plain planted with pines and olive trees. Walking through the charming alleys of the village, you will discover some pretty fountains, beautiful stone houses typical of the region, some remains of ramparts as well as the keep of the ancient castrum Salmana dating from the 12th century.
Don't leave Saumane without going to the place called "la Crémade" to visit the small archaeology museum and the santonnier which creates superb small Provençal crib subjects.
