This comfortable and attractively decorated holiday apartment, not far from Vogelsberg, Germany's largest extinct volcano, is located on the 1st floor. From the covered balcony you can enjoy an excellent view of the mountains of the Vogelsberg region. The smart TV allows you to have a lot of multimedia possibilities. The Hoherodskopf, the local mountain of Schotten, located 764 metres above sea level, is the second highest peak in the region. It offers an impressive panoramic view up to Rhine-Main region and the Taunus. In addition, children and adults can have fun in the climbing forest. The Vogelsberg is known for its superb signposted hiking and cycling trails. You can even cycle on the "Vulkanradweg" which does not have steep inclines, because this trail is established on former railway lines. Niddastausee, which is located 6 km away, invites water sports enthusiasts and swimmers for swimming, fishing, sailing and surfing. Schotten itself is a typical, Hessian half-timbered town with a charming townscape and offers numerous opportunities for shopping. Vulkaneum has a lot of multimedia information on the geological history of Europe's largest extinct volcano.
