Kashid is popular mainly for its white sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields, and rivulets. It is a tiny, picturesque village a few kilometers from Alibaug that gives the essence of rural Mahrashtra. The stunningly pristine Kashid beach provides a relatively peaceful alternative to the now commercialized beaches of Alibaug and Murud and is an ideal getaway for tourists. It is one of the finest beach stretch on the Konkan coast with golden yellow sands and crystal clear water and the Sahayadari hills
as a backdrop. The 3 km-long Kashid Beach combines all the elements of a perfect beach holiday.
Murud Beach is the old fishing village of Murud, a few kilometers away from Kashid, is another option for beach lovers. While Kashid Beach has crystal clear blue waters, Murud Beach has clear green water. The beach is also surrounded on three sides by mountains.
Right in the middle of the sea is a sight-seeing highlight in the form of Murud-Janjira Fort. Occupied in the past by the Siddis, the fort is situated deep in the sea and is one of the strongest marine forts in India. That explains why the fort has never been conquered by any of its enemies. The sea waves crash into the fort from all sides, however, the fort still stands intact facing the high tide. Ferry boats are available to visit the fort.
The beautiful temple of Shree Vikram Vinayak also known as 'Birla temple' is located at Salav, 20 kms. from Kashid. The temple is built on a small hillock with pure white marble The temple surroundings is surrounded by lush greenery and the temple has Idols of Ganpati, Radha - Krishna, Shankar - Parvati, Bhavani Mata and Surya.
Devotees believe that a darshan of Lord Ganesh here lends finale to the 'Ashtavinayak' pilgrimage. A grand festival at the temple takes place every year on "Maghi Chaturti" day.
The Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary remains one of the most popular sanctuaries in Maharastra with its diverse fauna attracting a large share of the tourism sector. Tucked in the Sahayadari mountain range spread over 13,000 acres of land, the Phansad Sanctuary is an absolute delight for wild life enthusiasts since the sanctuary and the surrounding areas is home to over 200 species of avifauna including the Indian pied hornbill, blue throated barbet, wag tails and a host of
raptors like the crested serpent eagle and white eyed buzzard. The sanctuary harbors many other wild animals such as leopard, dhol ( Indian wild dog ), wolf, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, chital, sambhar, muntjac, gaur, langur, wild boar, deer amongst others. If you are lucky, you will be able to spot the agile leopard and the elusive jungle cat.

The resort is really nice and well maintained, It is one of the best resorts in India. Best place for anyone who wants to rest and relax. There was a group who were partying post 11:00 PM But later when a complaint was raised, The music was turned off.
The food is good, The staff are great. The beach is also kept very well. But felt the place has started to lose its charm due to corporate crowds,
