This is indeed a special vacation property that may not benefit from direct views over the Caldera

Built in 1857 and operated as a canava (winery), this old Santorini wine distillery produced traditional sun-dried wine up till the 1980’s. In 2007, the canava was sensitively renovated and was skillfully turned into Villa Kisiris.

It developed into a brilliant blend of its traditional canava architectural originality with sophisticated luxury influences & modern facilities. With all the amenities of a first class hotel and the intimacy of a beautiful home, the villa reveals a warm & elegant ambience through a rich blend of soft earth tones on its decoration.

The world famous island of Santorini is a yearly award winner of the world's best island and most desired destination. Travelers wish to visit the island at least once in their lifetime.
According to legend, Santorini emerged from the depths of the sea- opinion justified by the timeless activity of the undersea volcano and the geological topography of the island.
The first human remains, dating back to the Stone Age, show that the island has been inhabited since the prehistoric times. There is some evidence of life in the early Bronze Age, in the mid-3rd millennium BC, during the second period of the early Cycladic civilization (2800-2100 BC). However, from the middle Bronze Age (1900-1600 BC), evidence becomes more abundant, showing great development.
In the area of Akrotiri (Promontory), there was a prehistoric settlement with a very important port. The great volcanic eruption in the late Bronze Age (ca.1600 BC) buried the settlement under 30 metres of ash.
Fira , the capital,is famous for the narrow streets which are filled with many gourmet restaurants, traditional taverns, shops, art galleries and jewellery shops.
Transportation is served with daily flights from Athens airport with Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines, as well as with speed boats and ferries from Heraklion, Mykonos, Santorini and Piraeus port.
