There is also a water park and aquarium that are worth a visit. The
biggest water park in Europe can be found just outside of Ayia Napa
which is only 10km away. Closer to the apartment, and more local is the
smaller town of Kapparis, with its own 'strip of restaurants (some good
local ones as well) that are thriving throughout the year, which is
less than a minutes drive away. within 5 minutes walk you can get to
Malama or Ayia Triada beaches which are smaller but very child
There is a new coastal walkway that has been built linking Protaras
with Pernera. The walk is beautiful and flat making it very accessible
with pram or wheelchair. Along the walkway can be found some stunning
little 'secret' restaurants/cafes where you can stop for
breakfast/coffee on ones morning walk, or for sundowners/dinner in the
evening.It is the perfect place to sit at the end of the day, just a
metre or two from the sea and watch the sunset.
About 0.5 Km inland from the apartment is a beautiful local town called
Paralimni boasting many beautiful old Greek/Cypriot buildings and
churches. It is steeped in history and well worth a visit.
