The Space:
The house is a typical old Portuguese farmhouse with its own cistern, which has been lovingly restored over the years. It has a large modern bathroom with bathtub, shower and bidet. On the ground floor there is a large living room with dining area and kitchen. This room can be heated in the cooler season with an oven. In the attic there is a large bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200 cm), a single bed (90 x 200 cm) and a cot. The second bedroom is in the garden house and can be reached via the courtyard. It has three single beds and is ideal for 2-3 older children or teenagers. There is also a washing machine in the house. The house has two terraces, one facing the (quiet) street and the other in the courtyard. A car can also be parked there. The stairs in the house have no railing and may therefore be dangerous for small children. There is a gas heating and in any case also two oil heaters, so that the rooms (bath / bedroom) are heatable.
The Neighborhood:
The small place "Cidade" lies in direct proximity of the Atlantic coast approx. 85 km of Lisbon between the seaside resorts "Foz do Arelho" (3 km) and "São Martinho do Porto" (7 km). There the beaches for bathing are also suitable for children, because they are protected by rocks and sandbanks. The next bigger city with all shopping possibilities, doctors and is Caldas da Rainha (approx. 10 km away). Apart from that there are a lot of excursion possibilities, just to name a few: Obidos (medieval small town), Alcobaça (very beautiful monastery), Nazaré (picturesque fishing village with a big stand, the mountain railway ride is worthwhile!), Batalha (Portugal's most important national monument), Porto de Mós (beautifully restored castle complex / stalactite caves), Tomar (headquarters of the medieval Templar order), Coimbra (university town), Peniche (on the large beach near Peniche - Baleal - you can surf and swim well!) and of course Lisbon.
Other Things to Note:
The prices are total prices for up to 2 people and include electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Possible heating costs will be charged according to consumption.
For the 3rd-6th person a supplement of 5 € per person and day will be charged. The prices are only valid for bookings of seven days or longer. Arrival and departure is possible on any day of the week.

Non Refundable: This is the strictest clause. As soon the booking is confirmed & payment is accepted, booking becomes non-refundable. Zero amount will be refunded to the customer if she or he cancels the booking.
