The home has been meticulously renovated down to the last detail with quality finishes throughout, making it a perfect location for a couples’ retreat, family getaway, baby showers or a romantic celebration. Oceanview House is stocked with everything that you will need on your beachside vacation. All the bedrooms (with the exception of the two bedrooms located on the lower ground floor which are always pleasantly cool in summer) are fully airconditioned with separate heating options available for all bedrooms. All of the bathrooms and bedrooms come fully stocked with toiletries, fluffy white towels and hotel-quality bed linen.
The home is set over four levels which ensures each guest will have their own bathroom and space to retreat to at the end of each day with WiFi available throughout the house. The third level includes a chefs’ kitchen which has been stocked with everything you may need if you plan on cooking (or being cooked for!) during your stay including a Nespresso coffee machine. There is also an informal lounge with a 46-inch TV, Foxtel, DVD player, dining area and a balcony overlooking the garden together with a powder room for your convenience.
The fourth level incorporates a large indoor/outdoor living area with comfortable lounges and a 46-inch TV, Foxtel, DVD player with a large DVD library. The indoor living room opens to two separate large balconies the first with expansive water views and a six-person outdoor dining table and weber BBQ. The second balcony has outdoor lounges and arm chair as well as a fully retractable sunroof.
There is also a separate roof top terrace with expansive views over the Pacific Ocean with sun lounges which are perfect for sunbathing, enjoying a cocktail or two at the end of the day or whale watching if the season is right.
The second level is where the master bedroom and second bedroom can be found. The master bedroom comes with its own ensuite (separate shower and bath), 36-inch TV with Netflix and a separate study area. The second bedroom is quite large and has a single bed with trundle and a double bed making it the perfect bedroom for young children or teenagers to stay in. A queen bed air mattress is also available upon request. They’ll have their own bathroom with combined bath and shower. A full internal laundry with washer and dryer is also on this level.
For those younger children, your hosts have included a range of children's’ toys, books, DVDs and puzzles to help keep your kids entertained during your stay. An additional portacot is also available if you would prefer a younger child to sleep in the same room as yourself. Other baby and toddler items are available if needed (high chairs, booster seat, portable change table, playpen panels, security gate).
Downstairs on the ground level is the third and fourth bedrooms, the latter with its own ensuite (separate bath and shower). This level opens onto a large, beautifully landscaped back garden with an entertaining deck and stadium style seating which is fully enclosed so it’s safe for young children to enjoy, as well as offering a chef’s 9 burner stainless steel BBQ.
Oceanview House has all the amenities you will need nearby with a large grocery store (Coles) as well as a liquor store, deli, post office and pharmacy within 300m from the house. Additionally, bus routes to Sydney City, Bondi, Watsons Bay and Bondi Junction are only a short walk from the house.

The Neighborhood:
The house is within walking distance of numerous great eateries in Bondi Beach and Watson's Bay. For shopping adventures, there are some great stores just behind Bondi Parade on Gould Street. Many parks and playgrounds are nearby for the kids.
Getting Around:
If you've brought a car to Oceanview House you won't need to be troubled with finding street parking as there is parking for two cars available on the driveway.
Alternatively, there is ample public transportation very close to the house with buses to Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Paddington and Sydney city. To access all of these locations, the closet bus stop is on Military Road near Eastern Avenue Dover Heights (Bus Stop ID 203028) a short 185m walk from the Oceanview House and from here you can catch the 333 or 380 buses to all these locations.
The 333 and 380 buses also runs in the opposite direction down to Watsons Bay which is a must to visit whilst you're staying at Oceanview House (refer to our overview on our neighborhood for further details) from the bus stop at Military Rd near Oceanview Avenue (Stop ID: 203022). From Watsons Bay you can catch the ferry to Circular Quay which is a really spectacular way to see Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Alternatively, you can take the 380 or 333 buses to Bondi Junction and then catch a train to wherever you need to go from Bondi Junction train station.
You'll need an Opal card to travel on Sydney public transport and the closet place to buy them from is at the North Rose Bay Newsagency which is located at 6 Old South Head Road, Rose Bay North, a 4 minute walk from Oceanview House. They're also sold at most newsagencies, convenience stores and train stations.
If you prefer to drive, there are several GoGet car sharing pods close to the house including one on the corner of Old South Head Road and Diamond Bay Road Vaucluse. Make sure to check out the GoGet webpage to book your car first to avoid disappointment.
