We are right between the famous lodges, where the rich & famous stay. The Timbavati region of the Kruger is central to the many attractions of the Bushveld. From here you can do daytrips into the Kruger Park, visit the cheetah project, the Maholoholo rehab centre, reptile park, Swadini Resort, the Blyde River Canyon, the giant Baobab tree, and Traditional African villages. Comfy chalets, rustic en-suite bush tents, or camping next to the Klaserie river, we have it all. Listen to the lions roar or the hyenas breaking the unbelievable silence. Big 3 or big 5 game drives arranged. Traditional meals served. We offer the best value for money 5 day nature/wildlife adventure tours for R5500pp.We are just under the Transvaal Drakensberg, but of course the game viewing is the main attraction here

Whilst we try to keep the Rondavels & pool spotless, the place might look more like a farm than a lodge. Most budget guests said that this was the best accommodation they had in Sa.

In the tropical heat, a pool is not a luxury, but a necessity. The owner is a retired chemist & looks after the water.

We offer peace & quiet under a dazzling starscape, only broken by the call of the wild.
This is a 30 Ha farm with some wild animals walking around that has been visited by lions, leopards, hyenas, hippos, wild dogs & many smaller cats. You may walk on the ranch, along paths or along the river as you please. We do not have lions & elephants in the garden, so you do not pay thousands per night. We are surrounded by the 5 star ranches where the rich, the famous and the corrupt pays up to R80,000 per night. We hear their Lions, Hyenas, Zebras & Impalas roaring like lions for the attention of the pretty females.

Here we offer no luxuries. Only the 2 self-catering en-suit hut, and the romantic bush tents with bush-bathroom, king and queensize beds, aircoolers, electric kettle, bedding, bbq & towels. We also have a larger tent, which sleeps 4 pax in two bedrooms. Kingbed + 2 singles in kids room.
The Rondavels are equipped with: Queen & single bed, couch, aircooler, shower & wc, Dvd, roof fan, bedding, towels, kitchenette, fridge and Bbq.
The beds & bedding are good! Most overseas customers were delighted with the best accommodation (and food) they had in Sa so far! All the long drops were equipped with moderrn plumbing, and the bucket system (to carry water from the river to the shower) was replaced with solar & eco friendly hot plumbing. Washing & drinking water is supplied on tap. We do not have any municipal services & look after our own needs. Sorry, babies charged full price unless you agree to store & remove the nappies apon departure for professional disposal.
By Law, all buildings are a smoke-free zone. Addicts may indulge discreetly outside, but please do not spread your poisonous nicotine capsules around!
Finally, this is a place where customers becomes friends who return regularly.
We accept no complaints except about the weather.
I just did a 10 day tour through Sa and Every Place we stayed, including 3 star hotels, we had to pay typically R50 for a few minutes of Wifi.
Here, we offer it for free.
