The entrance to the apartment is at the street level, accessible from the city centre trough the Castle elevator. The living areas with panoramic view are situated at the back of the place, facing west.

The building was originally done about 100 years ago, so there are high ceilings, thick walls and wooden windows: indoors it is much more comfortable than recent construction.
I used to live here with my family. Everything is within walking distance: city centre, grocery stores, good and cheap restaurants, local cultural centre, schools and playgrounds for children, free car parking 10 meters away from entrance. And a wonderful view. And an incredibly quiet place at night.
Moreover, neighbours were discreet and caring, there was a real spirit of community. Nowadays, what can I say... due to lack of jobs combined with increase on visitors, many of us had the same idea: we moved out of town and are renting our homes to travellers. Others had an even better idea: they moved out of town after selling their apartments (mainly to foreigners) for complete renovation and subsequent rental... to travellers. There is always a building renovation going on in my street... well, it is happening everywhere in historical Lisbon!
