The Maasai cattle experience will present you the perfect mix between nature and culture as you will be able to spend a day with Maasai herders to learn how to treat the cattle & take care of them. Along the way, the Maasai will be able to tell your stories about their culture which are more than 200 years old!

The biggest attraction would be the Maasai Mara National Game Reserve which is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people. The area is 1510 km2 big.

The game reserve offers you the perfect chance to see the migration, which is best to be viewed between july & october. Then there is the chance to view the animals crossing the Mara river and you will see hundreds of wildebeest and zebra migrating from one part of the area to the other. A opportunity which is excellent for wildlife photography!!

Besides the game reserve, Oseki offers a wide range of activities to do which differ from bushwalks, hikes to encounter elephants on foot, Maasai singing and dancing shows and visiting the local emanyatta (villages) to experience the way of life in the traditional homes of the Maasai. One can also experience being a Maasai herder for a day which includes taking care of the cattle, learning how to treat the cattle and learn about the history and culture of the Maasai through storytelling. This is very unique in the area, as Oseki Maasai Mara Camp is the only one that offers this opportunity. The Maasai where pastoralists of origin which is currently under threat by modern influences. Yet, they still find a way to stay connected with their cattle and their own culture.

We are also able to take our guests to the local church and school where the children will sing and dance for you.
