The property is set in two and a half acres of hill terraces dotted with apricot, plum, walnut and oak trees. Pinewood floors and high ceilings contain the drawing rooms as well as seven comfortable and elegantly furnished bedroom suites are charming. Old masonry in the house has 16” thick walls where the feel is very much that of a mountain chalet. Each room is the warm color of baby blue, powder pink, lemony yellow and apple green merged into gold. The dining hall is a shocking red and gold that glitters each time the guest gather round the fire place for a round of drinks.
On a full moon night, a candlelight dinner on the front lawns is one of the property's special experiences.
If you’re an early riser, this is the place for you; soak in the first few rays of the morning sun from across the mountain ranges, hear birds chirping, and see the odd pheasant making a rare, yet grand, appearance. Within the confines of the estate, you could relax, read, write or paint; equally you could play the piano, sing or take a walk in the forest.
It's the perfect setting for writers, with its in-house library boasting a collection of both canonical and contemporary writers. It is also perfect for the nature-loving artist or for the gourmet in search of that perfect culinary experience of age-old family recipes passed down through the generations.
So take a break from the usual. Allow us to share with you, a simple, heart-warming experience, in the magical mountains.
