We have bunny rabbits, deer, squirrels, turkeys, and a variety of birds that are frequent visitors here. There is a wood burning fire pit outside for moonlit evenings to enjoy. You can relax and melt your stress away by "tubing" down the Shenandoah River which is minutes away, or you can hike the mountains of the Skyline Drive. Additionally, you can stroll along the "Greenway" in Luray, which winds along the Hawksbill Creek, and take a picnic lunch to eat at the tables provided. Don't forget to feed the leftovers to the ducks swimming in the Creek.
There are many antique stores throughout the valley, several stocked trout streams to fish, and a golf course to play in Luray. We hope you will join us for a tranquil getaway!

We are 3.5 miles from the town of Stanley, which has a Foodlion Grocery Store. There are several gas stations, quaint restaurants, and two Dollar General Stores for small items you may have forgotten. Additionally, there is a Walmart on Rt 211 that is about 20 minutes away.

We would like to offer an active military discount and senior citizen discount of 10%, Active Moose Members 5%, confirmed at the time of the reservation

This property is located South of Luray off of RT. 340. You can expect a 11 mile drive to the town of Luray.

1.00/5 This place is very filthy.

My family rented this place because the place we normally rent was not available. So I will give you the Pros and Cons of our stay. Pros: The cottage is very cozy and the decor was a country style setting. The beds were comfortable and the patio was decent. It is in a secluded area and we saw whitetail deer on the property every day. That's it for the Pros. Cons: The cottage was very filthy, especially kitchen and the place is in need of repairs. There were mouse droppings in all the kitchen draws where the utensils and silverware were. We also found a dead mouse in one of the draws. The kitchen cabinet doors were also very dirty as was all the appliances. The whole kitchen looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I found this very offensive and disgusting. We had to use all paper and plastic products during our stay. The over-the-stove vent does not work. It is obvious that the owner leaves it up to the guest to clean the place for him. There was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms. There were 4 bedrooms but only one room had a dresser. The door to the game room/garage was hard to open because it would drag on the floor. The back screen door needs new hardware and a new Door Closer. I tried to adjust the screw to fix the Door Closer but it didn't help. The kitchen table was also very dirty and so was the floor. I wanted to leave but we paid in full and I was afraid I would lose our money. Plus we had people come from out of State and we didn't want to have to pack up and move into a hotel. So we felt that we had no choice but to stick it out and deal with the owner later. There were no lights on the back patio. I changed the light bulbs and the lights still didn't work. So if you want to use the patio a night then you will have to supply your own camping lights. There is no Internet or phone access or single in the area. The charcoal grill on the patio was a piece of junk and falling apart. The owner should invest in a new gas grill for their guest. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless the owner can prove that the kitchen was completed scrubbed clean and all the repairs were made.
