The holiday home Casa Mario is our dream of the sea! Luxurious and incredibly relaxing; but the real capital is the everlasting view of the sea, whether from the breakfast bar of the kitchen, from the living or dining room, from the terraces or from two bedrooms and of course overwhelming from the roof terrace (and the whirlpool).
The Space:
The four bedrooms (on the first floor) are each equipped with a double bed (two with ensuite bathrooms / one with shower and whirlpool bath; the second with shower). There are also two other bathrooms with luxury showers and toilets, one on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with high quality kitchen utensils and cutlery and has a breakfast bar on the detached cooking island. There is direct access to the basement and underground car park and from there to the shared gym. Terrace furniture is of course also available. Hot water is supplied by gas, but in summer mostly by feeding in the heat from the solar collectors, which are inconspicuously located on the roof terrace. In all rooms there are air conditioners, which can be operated separately. In all bathrooms there are towel dryers. W-Lan (Internet) is available free of charge throughout the house. From the living room via the private garden terrace it is only a few steps to the large shared overflow pool and a few steps further to the tennis court (with floodlight). Via the way behind the house down the hill, one gets in a few minutes to the beach that is deserted at this place also in midsummer; if one goes a little further, one gets to a beach section with a beach bar; shower and toilet.
The Neighborhood:
The surroundings of the house are quiet, almost sleepy; those who do not know the Portuguese cuisine will be spoiled in this area of Portugal with everything that it has to offer (in particular fresh fish and crustaceans) and at prices where also the ambitious hobby cook asks himself if the work and the fun at the stove are worthwhile. Of course, we are happy to pass on our restaurant recommendations. Lisbon (approx. 65 km), Obidos (28 km) and Fatima (122 km) are probably the most outstanding cultural destinations in the area. Peniche (15 km) is one of the top surf spots in Europe; there is also a water fun park with numerous water slides ; but also the closest village Lourinha offers cafes and good shopping possibilities; among other things three big shopping markets that are directly next to each other. In addition, there were extensive dinosaur finds in the area and in Lourinha you will find an interesting dinosaur museum. From Lourinha there are good bus connections to Lisbon. In spring 2018 the largest dinosaur adventure park in Europe was opened nearby. The path behind the house belongs to a marked hiking route along the coast. Golfers will find three top golf courses 25 minutes away from the house and four starting next year, including the last course "Royal Obidos" designed by Severiano Ballestero and the European top course "Praia del Rey" (links course).
Other Things to Note:
The prices are total prices for up to 4 persons and include the costs for electricity, gas, water, final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Possible heating costs will be charged according to consumption. For the 5th to 8th person there is a surcharge of 15 € per person and day. The prices are only valid for bookings of seven days or longer. Arrival and departure is possible on any day of the week.
