Lonborggaard is perfect for family celebrations or corporate arrangements. This home offers all the facilities required to enjoy a holiday. All the rooms have an attached bathroom and a toilet. You can rent this home for 40 people and extra beds are provided for the existing rooms (with 3 sleeping spaces for children). To accommodate more than 30 people, the rent is increased to DKK 500 per person per week. Short holidays can be booked immediately. From 1st May to 1st August, there is a separate tariff for weekdays (from Monday afternoon to Friday morning) at a fixed price, which includes the following charges: cleaning, heaters, electricity and water consumption. The price is DKK 22.5. Water, electricity and heater charges (maximum price) of DKK 17.5 per week in winter (from 1st October to 31st March). Water, electricity and heater cost is charged at a maximum of DKK12 per week in summer (from 1st April to 30th September). Charges are calculated based on usage. Bed linens and hand towels can be rented at a charge of DKK 150. Heating in the house is CO2 neutral. Food and catering can be ordered before arrival from the restaurant situated on site. This house is in a central location, even for arrivals by aeroplane (Billund Airport is just 55 km away). Festive turnover Fridays are available here. This holiday home is equipped with every luxury that can be imagined. The history of this house dates back to 15th century, as this home was a farm of the Bishops of Ribe in the medieval ages and was named after Lonborg Bispegaard (Bishop). After the reformation in the year 1650, this farm was in the possession of kings. Lonborggaard always had different landlords due to the enormity of this estate, which in particular, is one of the few manors of western Jutland. This estate has 1300 farms. Since 1994, this estate is owned by the landlord and a large part of this area belongs to the nature project on Skjern River. The renovation of the 100 metres wing was completed in the year 2007, thus this home has every imaginable luxury. The renovations are carried out carefully restoring the original, pristine facades of this house. Among the main attractions of Lonborggaard, the unique attraction is a tropical paradise with an enormous swimming pool that is 70 square metres and a 24 square metres children’s pool. You can stay away from everyday stress with lot of games, tranquillity and a feel of well being. Enjoy playing billiards and table tennis. You can also play volleyball or basketball outdoors at the end of a wonderful day. There is also a separate, furnished conference room with free internet connection, overhead projector and many other features. Lonborggaard is located in the unique, preserved valley on the streams of Skjern River. Explore this region by walking or on bicycles with canoes or on horse, where you can find a stream on both the sides with 2 majestic bridges. Also take rides on one of the two ferries that are operational since the medieval period. The entire region is a paradise for recreational fishermen and birdwatchers. The modernisation of this historical building was professionally done in such a way that all the bedrooms have private doors opening to the large terrace. All the bedrooms also have original vaulted ceilings. From the terrace, you can enjoy a captivating view of the valley on the stream of River Skjern, spot deer near the stream and the strutting herons around the shore. You can even spot rare eagles here. This property is surrounded by nature. This luxurious home has all modern comforts. The blend of nature, tradition and modern features makes this house an ideal place to stay and it offers an unforgettable experience to the guests. You can also find tranquillity in one of the private luxurious rooms in the 100 square metres recreation room. The huge panoramic window from floor to the ceiling offers a wonderful view of the extensive region of Skjern River. The activities room has the following features: billiards, table tennis, PlayStation 2. In the 450 square metre activities hall (usage from Sunday evenings until Friday mornings), you can play ball and badminton, try roller skates and have opportunities for friendly competitions. The huge, shared kitchen and dining area is inviting to prepare delicious meals and enjoy cosy stay with togetherness.
