Charming and brand new apartment into Navigli District, 1 berdroom 4 sleeps 1 bathroom
The Space:
Apartment situated in a traditional building with inner courtyard, modernized and converted into modern housing units, next to the subway station of Porta Genova and at least to three other stops of surface means of transport.
Prepare yourself for a jump in the past, in the city of the beginning of the century: this flat is a typical example of “casa di ringhiera”: a peculiar style house with inner courtyards, where all the house floors and apartment entrances are like open balconies, overlooking the courtyard itself.
These buildings were originally conceived for workers and erected in Milan suburbs around the productive centres of Navigli.
Thanks to its position, overlooking the quietest streets of the neighbourhood, and to the particular conformation of the building, this house benefits from an especially peaceful vibe and a low density of traffic. The area is characterised by the presence of waterways once used as trading routes and that nowadays offer unique urban glimpses, really rare to find in Italy.
The apartment is composed of a living area equipped with a television, a folding table and a queen-
size bed sofa, made bespoke handcrafted. Next to it you'll find the spacious kitchen, provided with all the needed gear, a dishwasher, an oven and a fridge 60’s style.
The master bedroom, with its big window, is spacious and bright.
Pride and joy of the apartment is the bathroom. What makes it unique is the shower: it has a dual jet head where you can choose between the traditional jet and a rain-like jet, and it is also equipped to provide a chromotherapy experience. The walls are embellished with a handcrafted mosaic.
Small sized pets are allowed.
Guest Access:
we provide a baby cradle if needed with no extras
The Neighborhood:
The neighbourhood
In the past Milan was a “city of water” and this area that stretches between the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese is the modern evolution of the former city harbour. Also the road conformation recalls its past of business place: the streets called “Alzaia”, historically dedicated to the passage of animals, are now pedestrian only streets; and those called “Ripa”, on which once looked out lords’ mansions, are now traffic arteries.
Today this neighbourhood is probably the biggest area of the city dedicated almost exclusively to clubs and to nightlife in general: the options are really endless, that is why we suggest you to visit our section “suggestions”. We can briefly say that this is the perfect place for those who are seeking to try all the variations of the “happy hour experience”.
Nearby there is the famous area of “Colonne di San Lorenzo”, a nightlife essential rendezvous, where is common for both milaneses and foreigners to hang out with friends in the open during any season (even if it rains: the church colonnade is often used as shelter from bad weather).
Amongst the interesting cultural destinations is worth to be mentioned the cloisters area known as “Parco delle basiliche”, which during summer offers a nice place to spend an afternoon surrounded by green, but inside the city.
