Not far from Hejlsminde are Skamlingsbanken, Christiansfeld (famous for honey cake, ornamental fireplace and salami). Kolding also offers many experiences for families with children and art enthusiasts. Do visit the Trapholt Museum. There is also a games park, which offers free entry.
