The location is great and you can walk to the Mercado dos Lavradores, tons of restaurants, sites, and public transportation. You will really love how close the apartment is to the old town, the city center, the marina and the coastline, all at minutes walking distance!
The apartment is clean, modern and fully equipped for a perfect stay. It features a great balcony to relax while enjoying a great Madeira wine.
There is a parking lot in the back which you can use if you have a car.
The Old Town is characterized by narrow cobblestone streets and the facades of old houses and is considered an area of great historic and architectural value.
A walk up by Rua de Santa Maria, one of the city’s oldest streets, will take you to beautiful Socorro Church. At the top, there is also small belvedere where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city.
Nightlife in the Old Town is currently a great attraction where art and entertainment come together, as the streets in the area have been transformed by the work of local and foreign artists (through a project entitled “Arte de Portas Abertas”). The project represents one of the facets of urban art and culture in the city.
