This holiday cottage is situated in Juv, in the heart of a fjord and
mountain scenery, with rivers and waterfalls, glaciers and sea, central
in Stryn municipality with possibilities for day excursions to world
famous Geiranger, the well known glacier Briksdalsbreen, to Vestkapp and
the Jugend City of Ålesund. Loen Skylift takes you from fjord to
mountain in 5 minutes and to Hoven restaurant at the top (1011 metres).
You can visit the house of Skålabu at an altitude of 1848 metres. Also
visit the spectacular suspension bridge of Via Ferrata Loen hanging 750
metres above sea level. The Viking ship of Myklebustskipet is being
constructed as the worlds longest Viking ship (30 metres long) and can
be viewed in Nordfjordeid. The holiday cottage is in a traditional
country style with a four poster bed and a panoramic view of the
scenery, reflected in the fjord. The farm is 500 acres and stretches
from the fjord to the mountain with a history that dates back to the
13th century. The complete peace and quiet makes the time go by slowly.
Enjoy this quality time with you loved ones to rejuvenate and gather
strength. Experience boat rides on the fjord, where you might spot
porpoises and seals. Life jackets are included, boat and motor is for
rent. Walk on your own along the signed hiking trails and pick berries
and mushrooms in the forest. The hosts offer guided tours around the
farm, visits to Juvstølen and rowing trips with an old renovated wooden
boat. Theres a small farm shop with raspberries from the farm. Owner
speaks English and German. Wireless internet access. Bathroom was
renovated in 2014. Steep road to the cottage. If you want to book the
rowing boat you need a confirmation as it is also offered to

The region offers beautiful scenery, activities like hiking, glacier
walks, rafting, horseback riding, bicycling and swimming. Places like
Panoramavegen, Lodalen and Kråkenes lighthouse is highly recommended, in
addition to a visit to Nordfjord Folk Museum and Jostedalensbreen
National Park with its knowledge and perspectives.
