The centre of Hovden, visible from the cottage, has a petrol station, shops, fishing equipment, a super market and restaurants. You can rent boats by the lake of Hartevann, where the sea is rich with fish and you can go swimming. There is also a modern waterpark in Hovden. The cottage is available between May and December. Dogs are only allowed in the entrance hallway. One bedroom with only a curtain, no door. The stairway to the second floor is somewhat steep.
