This is a home stay with all privacy to all guests. Only 13 km away from Ganaptipule & 13 km away from Ratnagiri, set in the lap of nature is this homestay that is a great place to relax and unwind amidst peaceful surroundings. The homestay has a stream that is adjacent to the property and apt for swimming in the monsoons when the stream is full and flowing.
Rooms
This Homestay set amidst banana plantations and surrounded by hills offers 6 guests rooms that have a village ambiance with all modern amenities. Of the 6 guest rooms, 2 AC rooms are located in the main building where the hosts stay, 2 Non AC rooms are located in a cottage with each room having an ensuite bathroom and individual entrance. There is a tent room and a tree house that add to the beauty of this homestay. The main building and the cottage is constructed with the local laterite stone, and the cottage has Mangalore tiles and cow dung plastered flooring giving it an authentic rural village appearance.
Food
Complimentary breakfast served is usually poha or upma or khichidi. Lunch/Dinner can be ordered on prior notice and would cost Rs.110.00 per person for an unlimited serving for each meal and Rs.165.00 per person including a sweet dish also with an unlimited serving per meal. Only veg meals are served at the accommodation. Non vegetarian meals are strictly prohibited. Meals served are authentic Konkan cuisine. There are a couple of small local restaurants near the homestay where guests can have non vegetarian meals.
Activities
A visit to the creek and mangroves guided by the fisherman and sometimes the host is an experience. Guest can also visit the Bharatiya Ship Yard where they can see the making of a ship, go trekking or visit a farm. Even more, there are beaches, temples and forts in and around Ratnagiri and Ganpatiphule that guests can visit.
