Open from 9am to 1pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm (closed on holidays) c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 14kms (35 mins) 2. Guchhu Pani (Robber’s Cave) a. What to see: Unusual Cold Springs which go underground at some of the places inside the caves. Small and Large waterfalls. Natural Rifts, Canyon, stream. Best time to go is in summers b. No specific timing but advised not to go after dark as it becomes dangerous. c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 7kms (22mins) 3. Sahastradhara a. What to see: Known for Medicinal and Theraputic Value in its collection of water pools where water drips from Limestone stalactites turning it to sulphur springs. There is a ropeway for an airy ride to the mountain top. Also “Joyland Water Park” for water amusement. b. Best to go early morning as this is a popular tourist spot and can get crowded. c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 15kms (36mins) 4. Lachhiwala Nature Park a. What to See: On the banks of the river Suswa, enjoy water pools, peaceful Forests, Treks, or simple family picnics. b. This place is very popular during the weekends. Best time to go would be during the week and early. c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 32kms (1.20hrs) 5. Dehradun Zoo (Malsi Deer Park) a. Meet varied animal species like deers, leopards, Neelgai, Emu, etc. Specially fun for kids. There are trails for walking and places for a picnic. Its a beautiful place to just relax. b. There is Horse back riding also available. b. Best before dark if you want to enjoy the view of the snow mountains and the valley. c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 22kms (55mins) 2. Lal Tibba a. At an altitude of 7500 feet above sea level it is one of the highest points in Mussoorie. This gives it a pristine view of the Himalyan Snow Mountains. You can drive up to Lal Tibba and then walk around the Chakar which is a road circling the mountain. You can enjoy a quiet peaceful walk through thick deodar forest and some unique views of the snow clad mountains. b. Best to get there early in the morning or in the evening as the walk around the mountain is best. c. Distance from Pinewood Cottage: 22kms (55mins) 3. Company Garden a. Flower garden, Pedal boats, rides and games for Children. b. Best to arrive there early so you can enjoy the rides before the crowd gets there. Open from : 9am to 8pm c.
