If you want to know Old Havana by your own feet, then you are in the right place. The place is located a few meters from the Plaza del Cristo, the National Capitol, the Partagás Tobacco Factory, the Old Square, the Gran Teatro de La Habana, and the Central Park, among many other places of interest.
Nearby you will find museums and historical monuments, as well as churches, curious small squares and many restaurants and cafés: some even famous, such as Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita. However, we also recommend visiting private restaurants recently opened in the area, which usually offer complete menus for very good prices.

To visit other areas of the city as there are several variants of transport, in the main avenues you can find collective taxis (almendrones) and urban buses that connect travelers with any place in the city. The almendrones (almost always old American cars) will take you for less than 0.50 ctvs and will share the trip with all the occupants that can fit and go to their destination. It is very easy and cheap to move from Centro Habana to any place or place in Havana.
You could also access other taxis with personalized service (old convertible cars) that offer different city tour offers. They are usually parked in places frequented by tourists. The prices are agreed between the client and the taxi driver, generally between 25 and 40 Cuc per hour. If the car is not convertible the price is lower, between 10 and 25 Cuc per hour.
