The flat is situated between the trendy Dizzengof street with it's large choice of restaurants, bars and cafes and the famous Gordon & Hilton beaches. Everything one needs is in walking distance. The Ben Gurion museum, the Rabin square, shopping at the Dizzengof street & centre, surfing at the Hilton beach, jogging at the waterfront track… Supermarket and 24/7 markets are within 200m as well as 2 synagogues. Trendy bakeries and bike rental stores are close by as well.
Irene was inspired by Nordic design having spent few years in Copenhagen in the early 60’s doing her post gradual medicine studies in the city. The Nordic design of the 60’s was blossoming with what became some of the most iconic designers; Charles Eames, Arne Jacobsen, Aalvar Aalto…. Irene fell in love with the simple lines, natural materials and some hints of the pop culture that was about to come and when she got back to Tel Aviv decided to decorate her apartment in the same style. Today you will find original Cassina Marlunga sofas, rich Nordic minimalist wood work and a general vintage atmosphere however with modern bathroom and amenities.
