It is also an ideal base for local sightseeing and activities (courses in the area range from yoga to silversmithing), day excursions further afield, and trekking in the Dhauladhars (the trail begins outside our back gate).

Heini itself is home to diverse flora and fauna. Of special note are the pine forests, the kites which regularly swoop past our terrace, and the rhododendron trees which bloom in the spring.

The village fields are farmed organically, with a yearly rotation of mustard, barley, maize and courgette, as well as potato, onion and garlic.

To reach the guesthouse from Mcleodganj, you can take the 15-minute taxi ride up the tarmac road to Dharamkot and along the road to Heini, followed by a ten-minute walk through the village and its fields.

To get back down, you can make the 25-minute walk to Bhagsunag, down steep concrete steps and a jeep road, followed by a five-minute autorickshaw ride. You can return to the guest house via the same route, but it is steep.

Whether you stay for a week or a month, we'll provide a warm welcome, a comfortable stay, and tailor-made treks and excursions ideally suited to the independent traveller.

The property was quite peaceful & good, but we found difficulty reaching the property, I suggest there should be some banners on the roadside which will lead the travellers to reach the property, apart from this the property is very good & the services provided were also good.

We had difficulty in finding the property & it's too high, good place for younger generation & the best-visited place for a family getaway.

3.00/5 Stay was Good

We had stayed at the property on 24th march, we had a great stay & it was pretty comfortable. The rooms are been maintained neatly, but the caretaker was not very supportive & was a bit stubborn, I think they will have to improve the services still more, apart from this all went well.
