Ambiente is a simple but clean and welcoming guest house, with nine perfectly acceptable rooms. Seven bedrooms are en-suite and the other two rooms share a conveniently-located bathroom with shower, toilet, and washbasin. There is also a small restaurant offering predominantly Sri Lankan dishes. All rooms and the restaurant have balconies overlooking the hills. Activities can include: treks to nearby caves and waterfalls, or to Lipton's Seat, birdwatching with local guides, cultural tours (Dowa cave temples, Maligavila Buddhist statue, Haputale monastery, Adisham), train journeys from Ella and a visit to Horton Plains.

Stringent: No charges will be levied if booking is canceled 61 days prior to check-in. If cancellation is done between 30 to 60 days prior to check-in, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. Post that, there will be no refund.
