This duplex condo could be better described as a chic and trendy townhouse with two floors that is part of a new development on the south side of the island between Chalong and Rawai. The villa is set over two floors with upper bedrooms facing north-south, with a cool yet quaint private pool with waterfalls in an open air courtyard just a few steps away from the residential (as opposed to tourist) Chalong beach with nice views of islands and boats in the bay. The beach is more suitable for walking and jogging than swimming off and the fresh breezes are very suitable for kite-surfing, with a base camp just beside the plot! A couple of boats are also easily stored in the garden and launched in the shallow waters. There is also a popular meeting place for residents and bands at the appropriately named Friendship Beach nearby, as well as a small international day school. The L-shaped pool, about 1.6 meters deep and 5 meters wide, has small wooden deck, 2 lounge chairs and a small table with stone steps towards the bathroom, two cascading waterfalls with on/off switch and small plant patch, exposed to outside air and sunlight, but cooled by an overhead fan. Location The villa is only about 30 meters from Chalong beach and 2 kilometers walk or 5 minute drive from Chalong Pier with anchorages for boats in the sheltered bay and the start point for many day trips, sailing, snorkeling and diving trips to outlying islands. The villa is 15 minutes to west facing Kata/Karon beaches, 30 minutes to Patong beach and its vibrant nightlife. Also within a five minute drive, you can visit Rawai, Nai Harn or Chalong where you will find many restaurants, bars and massage parlours. The villa is also situated within a 5-minute drive of two mini Tesco-Lotus supermarkets and approximately 20-30 minutes from Phuket City and its many department stores.
