Apartment Siena duplex property spread over the first and second floor . The main door opens up leading past the first shower basin and toilet area and down the hall into the kitchen. The kitchen has all the cutlery and crockery you will need to cook with, including pots and pans. The wooden round dining table will fit a family of four.
Past the kitchen - to your left and you will find 2 sea facing bedrooms. Both bedrooms have a double bed and a single bed. Linen and towels are provided on the bed. The view from both is magnificent. The bedroom on the right has a door - keeping it private. The bedroom on the left has a slightly better view - looking out to sea, however it is not private and sits in an open plan area (no fixed walls) with a lovely wooden divider keeping it separate from the common area.
All the windows have shutters that close - blocking out the gorgeous view and early sun - should you wish to sleep in. This apartment is ideal for families who need a bit more space and would like to be close to the centre and a handy restaurant that are reasonably priced out the front.
Walk down the wooden spiral stairwell, where you will find the lounge area based in the lower bottom floor. It is a spacious with 2 small windows that are sea facing - although lower ground with limited view .
The lounge sofa converts to sofa beds - Note - this part of the house is built against a large stern and the lower level where the lounge area is can get very cool - even in the middle of summer. Some people love it - others hate it. During the day it is amazing and a place for retreat from the sun and sand.
The Tv has satellite functionality allowing for international shows to be shown from around the world.
The living area is large and spacious.
Perast is a small town, benefiting from many local restaurants who only use local produce. There are also many summer festivals that appear on the calendar every year and are very popular with the locals and neighbouring sea side villages.

Perast itself has many interesting sights to visit. The Museum - which has interesting old artefacts, the many churches and ruins that are dotted around, along side the two very famous islands that you can visit by jumping on a hired boat for a couple of euros. The Fyord is a sight in itself - changing dramatically with the weather and beautiful and extreme in every light.

Montenegro holidays and events here are based on religious occasions, beloved folk traditions of music and dance and the changing of the seasons. Two of the favorites are the Kotor Carnival and the Mimosa Festival.
St Tryphon Festival
This February religious event in Kotor commemorates the martyrdom of the popular saint with processions, church services and folk performances in front of the cathedral.
Kotor Carnival
Kotor Carnival is one of the liveliest festivals in Montenegro, kicking off every February with masked balls for adults and children. Theaters put on traditional shows, concerts are held in the streets and venues, restaurants offer special menus, and the streets throng with costumed revelers enjoying performers, fireworks and parades. Another similar carnival is held in Kotor every August.
Mimosa Festival
The Mimosa Festival, held all over Montenegro in February/march, celebrates the coming of spring with the appearance of the first fragrant, yellow mimosa blossoms. The event lasts for several weeks with fine art exhibitions, traditional and modern theater, music and dance, and street fun. Flower shows are a highlight, and costumed girls holding branches of the flowing shrub travel between towns to visit friends and relatives.
Easter
Orthodox Easter falls on average two weeks later than in Catholic and Protestant countries, with Holy Week usually held in late April. Processions carrying images of Christ and local saints wind around the streets to the churches and cathedrals, and candlelit services draw huge crowds.
Music of the Summer
This iconic event is held in Budva over the four summer months, beginning in June to celebrate the traditional musical heritage of Montenegro in all its forms from brass bands to vocal groups, traditional ensembles and more. The concerts are held in various venues, often in the open air main squares, and is welcomed by a huge musical parade to the Old Town to the Square of Poets.
Kotor International Fashion Festival
Another Montenegrin event popular with visitors is July’s International Fashion Festival, held annually in Kotor over several days. Top designers from the Balkan nations and the rest of the world attend to share their designs with fashion-forward locals.
Perast Music Festival
Held in the charming town of Perast, the annual Montenegro music festival takes place every August, and is a focus for internationally-known singers, musicians, instrumentalists, and orchestras. Concerts are held in venues all over town, and the event attracts a large number of overseas visitors.
Gornja Lastva Fiesta
Gornja Lastva is a tiny village near Tivat, known for its August fiesta week dedicated to the preservation of traditional musical and dance in Montenegro. Balkan circle dancing and unique klapa male a-capella songs are the heart of the festival and the iconic Clapper music and other traditional Lastva folk songs draw visitors from Tivat and overseas.
Christmas Day
Orthodox Christmas falls at the end of the first week of January, and is a family-oriented time for church visits, celebrations with friends and carolling in the streets. Special meals are prepared, homes are decorated and gifts are given.
New Year’s Eve
New Year celebrations on Montenegro begin on December 31 and end on January 2 so you’ve got plenty of time to welcome in the new year with Montenegrin friends. Everything from street parties and entertainment to the traditional fireworks displays, concerts and other events are held, and hotels and restaurants host special events and parties.
Visas and Vaccinations
Visitors from the Us do not need a visa to enter Montenegro for a stay of up to 90 days. Citizens of the Uk, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and a long list of other countries may also enter visa-free for 90 days. Nationals of other countries will need to apply to their nearest Montenegrin Embassy for information on visa requirements and costs.
Health and Safety
Although no specific vaccinations are required for travel to Montenegro, routine shots should be kept up to date and hepatitis A and B, typhoid and rabies are recommended for those wishing to do more active, outdoorsy pursuits. Travelers’ diarrhea is a risk, and bottled water should always be consumed. If you’re traveling in rural areas, there’s a slight risk of tick-borne encephalitis. Although major hospitals have well-trained medical staff, some equipment may be outdated, and outside the cities, expert hospital care is rare. Those on regular medications should bring enough to last the entire vacation, and full health insurance is recommended. Visitors from the Uk can get free medical treatment via a reciprocal agreement, but Us nationals will need to pay cash upfront.
Montenegro is a relatively safe country, although tourists should take care of their valuables and cash as pickpocketing in crowded areas around the beach resorts and major attractions does occur. Beggars are a problem, and are invariably part of a local crime syndicate. The Kosovo border should be avoided as unexploded munitions and landmines are still being found, and stay away from areas where there is military activity. Driving at night is not recommended, nor is walking alone down dark streets.
Entertainment and nightlife in Montenegro are at their best in the capital and the beach resorts, with lively dance clubs, friendly pubs and buzzing live music offering a taste of local brews and a chance to interact with the residents. In general, bars close around 1:00 a.m., although many revelers continue on to the basement clubs in the city centers. Friday and Saturday nights are the wildest, with half the town in summer crowding the open-air bars open only during the high season. Restaurants in the cities and resorts offer a good choice of local dishes and international foods, and trendy cafés serve snacks along with strong coffee.
