From here you can admire the lovely sunset. Slagelse is the centre of southwest Zealand with several shopping malls. Slagelse also hosts a large barrack, so on every Wednesday you can see the guards riding through the city. The bridge over the Great Belt will take you to the various attractions in Funen and the lovely estates of the island. In Funen you can also see the Egeskov Castle, where you can take part in many interesting activities along with the whole family. There are several rich fishing grounds along the coast of Zealand. The nearest golf course is 18 km away. Another place of interest, particularly for hikers, is the Reersø peninsula where you can engage in a variety of recreational activities. The 9 km long coastal path on the Reersø peninsula offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the region. If you travel eastward towards Zealand through the wet meadows, you will reach Flasken, Skiften and Vejlen - where you can see ducks, wading birds and interesting flora. You can also visit the Birkegårdens Haver gardens with animals and a play park as well as the Kragerup Gods where you can enjoy several activities including a treetop trail and a canoe ride in a moat.
