The special light from the sky in Sjællands Odde is adorable. The peninsula is also a paradise for fishing enthusiasts. Havnebyen, the only proper fishing harbour on the peninsula with boats and a small fish smoke house is nearby. You can buy freshly smoked fish here. If you get to Gniben, at the very top of the peninsula, you can go fishing on the beach. You can also take a stroll through the Artillery School of the Army. The 13th century fairytale castle of Dragsholm is worth a visit. It houses a ghost and an excellent gourmet restaurant. You can get the feel of a geological park in the glacial headlands of Odsherred. Along the grave mound street, you can find graves and tombs that date back to the stone age and the bronze age. There are 300-year-old remains of the forest village of Ulkerup and the Hempel Glass Museum in this region. A replica of the sun chariot found in the moors of Trundholm moses is placed in Odsherred Museum. You can also take a look at the Lommesten rocks and the castle of Naesholm Borg located on a small island in Lake Nygård Sø and situated between Hojby and Nykobing Sjælland. Children will be excited to visit the fire museum in Odsherred with several fire-fighters' vehicles. You can take a trip to the harbour of Rorvig and go on seal safaris. A cosy atmosphere, a fish smoke house with an attached restaurant and the ferry service to North Zealand await your arrival in the harbour of Rørvig. You can enjoy smoked fish while your children catch crabs on the pier.
