Villa Bella is your Bohemiam home away from home! This charming three bedroom Villa certaintly wins the hearts of our guests. With gorgeous architecture and a casual luxury that only Bali can produce, a stay at Villa is a unique & fun experience. The three bedrooms are luxurious and spacious and over look the most beautiful pool and tropical gardens. Located in the tranquil village of Banjar Kuwum, half way between Seminyak and Canggu, it's a great location to base yourself.
Set amongst a beautiful landscaped garden, Villa is situated in the private cul-de-sac of Banjar Kuwum. This charming village is situated between Seminyak / Kerobokan and Canggu. The villa sits on 1.6 acres of tiering land facing a serene view of rice fields. The locals of the area are friendly and warm people who welcome you to their home island – there are often traditional festivities happening and to experience these is such a special opportunity for our guests. Umalas is 5 minutes away and Seminyak a 10 minute drive. The surf scene at Canggu is 15 minute drive. Away from the traffic and buzz, this is actually the ideal location for guests wanting to enjoy the “real” Bali as well as tap into tourist activities with ease.

Villa ’s architectural design follows an open plan theme. The aestheticism of the home is a marriage between Balinese and Mediterranean stylistic elements. It was an intentional design to unify the interior and exterior spaces of the Villa, utilising the naturally rich fauna and flora that is unique to Bali. In keeping with the open plan theme of the Villa, with the desire to bring the outdoors inside, the Villa features columns and high archways to ensure the interior spaces stay cool and away from the heat of the day.
Outdoor and pool area
Villa is surrounded by a large tropical garden that looks out upon a beautiful rice-field, a sight that Bali is so famous for. The nature all around sets the perfectly peaceful vibes for a relaxing holiday on this magical island. A teak gate with a tiny alang alang roof of its own leads into villa . Tranquil ponds, Buddha sculptures, frangipani trees and scenting flowers in beautiful colours await behind it. The private overflowing swimming pool couldn't look any more inviting with its crystal clear water and while swimming laps you can gaze at the rice field. In the garden there are sunbeds and antique gazebo's with alang alang roofing to find shade. The kids can happily run around on the manicured lawn in the afternoon as you are opening a nice chilled bottle of white wine to enjoy with your loved ones.
The living area
Villa has a traditional design with a high soaring thatched roof and a sophisticated interior ruled by hand-crafted teak furniture, antiques, rich textiles and tribal artwork. The living space, located in the heart of the estate, has a wonderful open-plan concept so you never have to miss out on the garden and rice field views and you can also keep an eye on the kids playing in the pool. The fan suspended by the ceiling gives a nice extra breeze while sitting comfortably on one of the antique sofas, chairs or poofs and also while dining together at the teak dining table for 6. In the closet you will find a selection of books to read when seeking some peace and quiet. The kitchen of villa is found in a separate pavilion, equipped with everything you need.
The master bedroom
The air-conditioned master bedroom is found on the first floor, adjoined by a private balcony with rice-field view. This spacious and restful villa suite breathes elegance and sophistication with its gorgeous and majestic four poster bed and an interior ruled by antiques and carpets. There is huge wall-mounted flat-screen satellite TV, a walk-in dressing-room and a large separate wardrobe hanging-space area. An ornamented wooden door leads into the en-suite bathroom, complete with a rain-shower and bathroom amenities.
The guest bedrooms
The two guest bedrooms flank the the living room. Both rooms are spacious and equipped with a stunning canopied four poster beds, writing desks and traditional artefacts. Modern amenities are also provided boasting AC and TVs with DVD-players. The rooms are adjoined by cosy little balconies where you can curl up with something to read in the hammocks. Both rooms have private en-suite luxurious bathrooms.
A team of staff including, housekeeper, cook, gardener and night security are included to help you enjoy your stay. They are on hand to help organise a car with driver, motorbike, surf lesson, yoga class and even a private Balinese blessing ceremony in the Villa. Bali is an epicenter for the spiritual, referred to as the island of the Gods it is undoubtedly a magical place. The islands native Balinese Hindus are kind and gentle people, their religion is so unique and special, just to be an observer is an experience in itself. Guests can dress in traditional attire and the blessing will be led by a Balinese priest. It is a fun adventure for the little ones and pleasure for parents and adults to witness too. Ketut's cooking is delicious and we provide a menu however she will be happy to take your requests and even give you a cooking lesson!

Coming to stay at Villa Bella was an incredible introduction to Bali. The villa was stunning and was truly one of a kind. We travelled with a little baby and we all had amazing holiday, the staff of the Villa were absolutely incredible with babysitting and taking care of the whole family. As I am a foodie I must note that the food, cooked by chef Ketut was delicious. In all honesty we were rarely left the house as it was our true sanctuary. I highly recommend Villa Bella for your stay in Bali, especially families.

I have stayed at Villa Bella numerous times and I am about to stay again in mid September. Villa Bella is this little slice of heaven, a tranquil, peaceful paradise, tucked away at the end of a cul de sac, nestled amongst coconut palms and terraced rice fields. The home itself is traditional but has all the mod cons to make your stay five star. The master suite is right out of the pages of Vogue and the stunning French inspired bathroom simply takes your breath away. The two other queen bedrooms are both gorgeous and have spectacular views. The pool is large and inviting and the garden is just beautiful. What brings this experience all together is the staff. Ketut and Nyoman have been working for Jane (owner) for over 25 years and are very much family. Ketut is an excellent cook and nothing is ever too much trouble. Once you arrive at Villa Bella it is hard to leave but if you must it is only a 10 minute drive to all the local hot spots, restaurants, bars and nightlife. I go to truly unwind, read, rest, swim and to enjoy Ketut's wonderful culinary skills. Five star all the way.

Villa Bella is my home away from home... It is one of my favourite places in the world and i hold it very close to my heart.
On top of the wonderful and unique accomodation Villa Bella has to offer there is so much more ... Ketut, Nyoman and their girls are so special and will make your stay even more amazing! Ketut is the best cook! And the whole family has such a kind spirit....
Villa Bella is secluded from the busy streets of Bali, sitting behind amazing rice fields!
I visit the Villa annually and cannot wait to return next year.
