S. Venerina is a town in the province of Catania at 350m s.l.m. It is just 3 km from the highway of Giarre, on the road that leads to Mount Etna. Famous as a city of wine and spirits, (just think of the famous "fire of Etna" and Cellars "murgo").

• Volcano Etna (only 20 minutes to get directly to where part of the cable car at an altitude of 2000m above sea level) the destination of many tourists, during the winter, with two ski lifts sites in both the north side (Piano Provenzana - Lingfield), which on the south side (Rifugio Sapienza Nicolosi) and during the summer, thanks to excursions on top of the crater through huge off-road-vehicles and the Etna cableway.
