This apartment is in the heart of Batumi. On the 5th floor of the 6-story newly built house. Fully renovated, air-conditioned. It had 2 bedroom with double bed, living room with double-sofa. Comfortably can accommodate 4 people.

One of the most beautiful regions in Georgia, Adjara is situated in southwest Georgia on the Black Sea coastline. Turkey borders Adjara to the south.
Adjara’s visitors especially admire the region’s pristine and unaltered nature, and it is particularly intriguing for eco tourists.
atumi was an Ancient Greek colony, a Roman port and was fought over several times in battles between the Georgian Kings and invading Ottoman forces. In 1878 Batumi came under the rule of the Russian Empire and the city soon experienced rapid expansion. Today it is Georgia’s main port and seaside holiday destination.
Batumi is blossoming. It is Georgia’s summer playground and has seen much development over recent years, much of it with new building, but some with a sympathetic understanding of the city’s history. Batumi had a previous period of prosperity in the 19th century and a lot of recent renovations of the old town have been carried out with that in mind, using archive documents to preserve authenticity. The result is a charming series of low-level buildings with delicate railings and balconies, moulded facades and quiet cobblestone streets, where the air is filled with the aroma of fresh coffee, the fragrance of citrus plants, and of course the sea breeze.
Despite the developments the ongoing construction does have its critics, with some arguing that it is damaging the city’s character. Yet there is no arguing that Batumi has an energetic and growing tourist infrastructure that makes it an easy and enjoyable place to stay.

Batumi was our first stop in Georgia and our first few days in the country constantly left us with a big question mark hanging over our heads. Being a lover of strange attractions (and an avid follower of Atlas Obscura) Batumi left me impressed and bemused in equal amounts. There are so many odd things to do in Batumi that try and slip past as ‘normal tourist attractions’ or everyday parts of the city.
Batumi is very walkable and lots of cool things to see aren’t necessarily on a map, so walking is the best way to see the city. We had four days in Batumi in October but two of them were filled with torrential rain so we spent a lot of time indoors. During the summer months, Batumi is a busy, beach town for (mostly) Russian tourists. I imagine the vibe is quite different during this time and the lack of tourists while we were there gave the city an even stranger feel.
Despite its oddities, or because of them, we really enjoyed Batumi. It should definitely be a stop on your Georgian travel itinerary so make sure you plan a couple of days here and check out these bizarre attractions of Batumi.
