Our Cottages are tucked away in a beautiful little village Nathuakhan, surrounded by lush green fields, plum and peach trees and a panoramic view of mountains. The tranquil location, brilliant and magnificent views with its unending scenic beauty will captivate you completely. This glittering jewel in the Himalayan necklace offers a welcome break in the peaceful scenic natural splendor. The pristine beauty of the region and the pleasant weather at all times gives the place a very distinctive character which soothes your mind and calms you beyond words.

On offer are four inviting and tastefully decorated rooms with attached bathrooms. The rooms have been creatively named after the state symbols of Uttrakhand. The rooms with attic are named Buransh and Brahmkamal after the state tree and flower respectively. The attic is an added attraction for both kids and adults. The non attic rooms have been named on the state bird Monal and the state animal Kasturi . Each room comes with a balcony with excellent views of the surroundings.

This is 2 attic rooms which can accommodate 4 guests in each room.

You can go in for numerous adventure treks or just do nothing, relax and spend time with family and friends. Enjoy reading from a variety of books or play board games and spend fun time together.

Excursion and Day trips

Almora: Almora is located around 45 Km from our Cottage. It is a picturesque district in the Kumaun region, East of Uttarakhand, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Himalayas. Almora is famous for its rich cultural heritage, unique handicrafts, and magnificent wildlife.

Bhimtal: Located at a distance of 40 km from our Cottage, is a pretty little hill station Bhimtal, named after the mythological Bhima of the Mahabharat. Bhimtal is a serene town, good for relaxation and an enjoyable boating experience. Ideal for a day picnic.

Binsar: Binsar wild life sanctuary is about 70 Km from our Cottage. The Sanctuary gets its name from Binsar Mahadev temple devoted to lord Shiva built around 9-10th century. The walk becomes musical with birds chirping and the sights of these faunas will engross visitors throughout the journey. For the nature lover tourists with photographic interest, clicking pictures or making videos of birds adds to the fun. 180 species of birds visit Binsar every year.

Golu Devta Temple: The temple near Bhowali is at a distance of about 35 Km from our Cottage. Golu Devta Temple is always in news for the unique rituals performed here. One such ritual is that devotees make petitions at the temple, using stamp papers, to seek the desired decree in litigations. On accomplishment of their wish, the deity is shown gratitude by hanging bells or making animal sacrifice.

Jageshwar: Jageshwar temple is around 80 kms from our Cottage and is believed to be among the twelve Jyotirlinga or the holy sites of Shiva in the country. The cluster of Jageshwar temples depicts the ancient culture and design. The beauty of the place is enhanced by the Deodar trees and the Jata Ganga which meander its way into the temple complex. Most of the temples have the stone lingams and very impressive stone images around the altar.

Mukteshwar: Mukteshwar is a popular scenic spot and known for providing views of the Himalayas and its other ranges. This hill station is most popular for the Mukteshwar Temple that is located at an altitude of 2315 m and is reached through stone stairs. Mukteshwar is surrounded by dense coniferous forests and fruit orchards. This hill station is at a distance of about 22 Km from The Calm Cottages.

Nainital: Based around a lake, Nainital is a small town with steep mountains covered with green forests. This is around 45 Km from our Cottage. This beautiful hill station of Uttarakhand has the number of sightseeing attractions popular among tourists. Sightseeing in the town includes boating, mall road, zoo, elevated peaks of Himalayas, lake and tree-covered hillsides.

Naukuchiatal: Naukuchiatal is at a distance of around 45 Km from our Cottage.It is a picturesque lake village situated in the foothills of district Nainital , evidencespopularly known as Nine cornered Lake. This place is famous for the mesmerizing beauty of terrain and green landscapes with different varieties of trees and shrubs, giving it a picture perfect look for nature lovers.

Ranikhet: Well known for the views of the mighty Himalayas, Ranikhet is at a distance of around 65 KM from our Cottage. The word Ranikhet stands for Queen’s Meadow. As per the folklore, Queen Padmini of Kumaon was so enamored by the natural beauty of this tiny hill paradise that her husband, King Sukherdev, built a palace for her at this place and named it Ranikhet. Even though there is no archeological or evidence available to prove that a palace was erected here, the name as well as the story lives on.

Sattal: Sattal, at a distance of about 45 KM from our Cottage gets its name from seven interconnected freshwater lakes. Some of the tourist attractions of Sattal include Butterfly Museum, Sattal Mission, Methodist Ashram and Subhash Dhara. The Butterfly Museum is an effort to preserve some rare species of butterflies which were found in India.

Default Cancellation Policy

Stringent: No charges will be levied if booking is canceled 61 days prior to check-in. If cancellation is done between 30 to 60 days prior to check-in, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. Post that, there will be no refund.
