Bearing tall testimony – quite literally as well – to the sustainable practices that make our property stand out is the 200 year old mango tree known locally as ‘Chandanakaran’. The tallest tree in the whole village, everybody talks about ‘Chandanakaran’ as if it were a living person. Which you will also find, it is. The responsible outlook is reflected even in the number of guests at the homestay any given time which is kept to the basic minimum. This property includes only two accommodations in the sprawling, sandy three acre coconut plantation: The Backwater Cottage , The Garden Room.

The Backwater Cottage :
Backwater Cottage is right next to the backwaters and used to be an old coconut farm house which was renovated and converted to a homestay for those looking for privacy. The large room has twin beds (two extra beds on request), fans but no air-conditioning, a veranda all around over-looking the backwaters, walk in toilet, roof open shower area with solar water heater and kitchenette with a fridge making it an ideal choice for staying with family. It is independent of the main house, just 50 meters away from your host family. Ease steps to handicapped and less movable persons. Self catering option available.

This room is comfortable for 2 people, however 2 additional person can be accommodated. Extra person ll be charged @ 1250 per person/night which is inclusive of breakfast.

Stringent: No charges will be levied if booking is canceled 61 days prior to check-in. If cancellation is done between 30 to 60 days prior to check-in, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. Post that, there will be no refund.
